The Order of the British Empire, O.B.E. (Military) 1st type; Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Belfast (Capt., 1/Essex Rgt.); King’s South Africa, 2 clasps (Capt., Essex Rgt.) mounted as worn and sold with a renamed Boer War pair to the same recipient, nearly extremely fine (5)

Bertram Arthur Warry was born on 22 September, 1865, and educated at Winchester. He served on the Staff in the Boer War and was later in command of Railway Staff at Pretoria. During the Great War he was Assistant Director of Railway Transport, H.Q. Aldershot Command.
