Good very fine and clearly struck with the reverse legend omitting the r of vir £1,200-£1,500

found as part of the dispersed Chawton Hoard (Hampshire) in 2012 (PAS HAMP-6DFB33)

It is possible that this coin was struck from a very late reverse die with the r missing; this variety is not noted by Sills. The curved crescent behind the horse, normally referred to as a lituus also closely resembles a woad grinder.
