John Mountenoy enlisted into the 7th Light Dragoons on 25 March 1805, a recruit from the Nottingham District. He was on furlo’ from 2nd March to 1st May, 1809, during which period he was promoted to Trumpeter on 25th April. He was discharged as a Trumpeter on 15 July 1814.
