Frank Floyd, an Agricultural Labourer from Dittisham, Devonshire, was born on 27 November 1880 and attested for the Royal Navy on 27 November 1910. He saw service during the Great War in H.M.S. Osprey, H.M.S. Griffon, H.M.S. Mindful, H.M.S. Marvel and H.M.S. Seymour. Advanced Chief Yeoman of Signals on 5 March 1919, he was shore pensioned on 9 January 1921, and subsequently joined the Royal Fleet Reserve.
