Albert Vincent Jones served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers in the French theatre of war from 13 August 1914. The Battalion served as part of the 19th Brigade, 33rd Division on the Somme, July - November 1916. Jones was subsequently commissioned in the South Staffordshire Regiment, and his MIC indicates that he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police after the war.
