James II (1437-1460), Second coinage, Second issue, Groat, type III, Edinburgh, mm. crown, crown with jewelled band, saltires by bust, rev. crown in first and fourth quarters, three pellets and saltire in second and third quarters, 3.45g/7h (SCBI 35, 708; B 26; S 5236). Some hairline scratches both sides and deposit on reverse, fine (£200-250)
