Henry VI (First reign, 1422-1461), Bp Neville, Leaf-Pellet issue, mm. cross III on obv. only, leaf on breast (?), pellets by crown, trefoil after henric, saltire after rex, rev. reads civitas dvn[–]lm, interlaced rings in centre of cross, 0.90g/9h (Allen 162; Whitton 4; N 1511; S 1904). Nearly very fine £150-200

The vendor believed that this is a Cross-Pellet issue with the letter b added to the right of the neck. While it is fair to say that the field shows some disturbance at this point, the letter or symbol is very indistinct and is the cataloguer’s opinion that it is more likely to be die damage or clash marks than a deliberate privy-mark
