England, Sterling Bust Jetons, c. 1280-1345, Edward I, Fox class 4, bust in eight-arched tressure, rev. shield with arms of Edmund Crouchback, three English lions differenced with a label France of three points, 3.12g/12h (Lawrence plate vii, 7, this coin; Berry 1 var/3; Mitchiner –). Two small surface marks above crown, otherwise good fine or better, extremely rare £300-400

Edmund Crouchback (1245-96), first Earl of Lancaster, second son of Henry III and Eleanor of Provence, younger brother of Edward I. He died on 5 June 1296 at Bayonne while fighting with the English army in Gascony
