Joseph Carter took part in the action at Shaiba on 14 April 1915 where he was wounded in the hand. He later took part in the Defence of Kut El Amara where he was taken prisoner of war, subsequently dying whilst in captivity on 19 September 1916.
F. Martin was killed in action in France and Flanders on 2 May 1915.
