Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), Penny, Expanding Cross type, [Heavy issue], probably York, Leofnoth, leofenod on [—— ], annulet in first quarter, 1.70g/3h (Freeman 225; N 823; S 1177). Very fine and toned but double-struck on the mint name and annulet, rendering both uncertain £150-£200
