Charles William Garner attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and served with the 7th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 21 September 1915. Transferring to the 8th Battalion, he suffered from bronchial problems and was admitted to No. 31 Casualty Clearing Station in February 1917.

Reginald Frank George attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on 19 September 1914 and served with the 1st/4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 29 March 1915. He was wounded by gunshot to the skull, and was discharged due to wounds on 5 March 1916, being awarded a Silver War Badge, no. 55760.
