Harold Arthur Long attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and served with the 1st Battalion in the Asiatic Theatre of war from 5 December 1914. For his services with the Mesopotamian Field Force he was Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.
