Sidney L. Watts attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, and served with the 2nd/4th Battalion during the Great War, attaining the rank of Acting Sergeant. He was appointed an Officer Cadet to No. 24 (Tank Corps) Officer Cadet Battalion at Hazeley Down Camp, Winchester, in October 1918. His medals were issued in March 1939, when his address was 24 Worcester Place, Oxford.
