City of London Imperial Volunteers Flag.
A very rare printed linen example probably used to determine Company Lines when in camp. Approximately 870mm x 470mm the white and red cross of St. George also bears St. Edward’s crown over the sword from the Arms of the City in the first quarter and large ‘C.I.V.’ in the third quarter. The fly strengthened with coarser linen,
small holes and fraying but generally in good condition overall £300-£400
