England, EXECUTION OF THE DUKES OF MONMOUTH AND ARGYLL, 1685, a silver medal by R. Arondeaux, bust of James II placed over sceptres on pedestal displaying crowned arms, rev. Justice holding sword and scales, the decapitated bodies of the two Dukes to left and right, their heads on blocks, 60mm, 74.78g (MI I, 615/27; E 281). Minor marks, otherwise extremely fine, toned £1,500-£2,000
