A Second War Allgemeine S.S./L.A.H. Album. An excellent album measuring 290mm x 220mm, ‘My Service Time’ in German to the exterior with the faint remains of a slightly rubbed out Reichs Armed Forces eagle and swastika. The album opens with large format photographs of an Allgemeine march past. Good uniform detail. Smaller format pictures of Allgemeine SS and Luftwaffe parading standards, further close-ups of army personnel in half tracks. SS Panzer armoured cars. Excellent images of the Waffen SS Panzer beret being worn. Motorcycle combinations. Parades in the field. Sepp Deitrich Commander of the Leibstandarte Adolf Hilter reviewing the troops indicating that the unit of the album is the LAH. Early Waffen SS VT side caps being worn. Vehicle with clear LAH unit markings. Officers meeting in the field. Groups with a mixture of LAH and Waffen SS uniforms. Good close-ups of motorcycle combinations. The album moves into the Russian campaign, destroyed Russian tanks and Russian prisoners. Movement on the battlefield. Excellent battle front images of LAH vehicles. A mixture of political, Waffen SS and Armed Forces high ranking officers. Snow covered battlefields of Russia, white helmet covers being worn. Parade of the LAH band in field grey. Photographs of army colleagues maybe relations. A close-up of SS field dentists at work. Images of leave photographs of relations with Army black Panzer uniforms being worn.
