A Second War Luftwaffe General’s Promotion Document. A highly attractive leather covered folder constructed by the legionary leather artisan Frieda Thiesch who was the manufacturer of the Knights Cross series of documents, the artisan’s name is gold blocked to the inside lower edge of the folder, which measures 255mm x 360mm with large Reich gilt eagle to the face, some light scuffing to the corners. Spine good and strong, complete with its thin strip of Morocco leather holding the award document in place. The document describes the promotion of General Leutnant Max Mohr to General Der Flieger on 1 April 1941. At the base of the award the facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler and Hermann Goering. Slight age foxing to edges, Reich eagle raised stamp to the left hand side of the Hitler facsimile signature, very good condition £500-£700
