Nile River Gunboat and Crew, a 1/30 scale model of one of the 4 steamers that General Gordon had sent from Khartoum to inform the relief column of the critical situation in the besieged city, manufactured by W. Britain, in a limited edition of 400 sets, 17 pieces, comprising the boat, 15 figures, and a Krupp gun, the boat measuring 630mm long x 250mm wide x 240mm tall, the figures 54mm tall, produced using a combination of spin cast metal, resin and high density foam parts, fully assembled and additionally enhanced by a realistic ‘steam’ cloud from the funnel, mounted on a wooden plinth decorated to give the appearance of the River Nile, and housed in a perspex display case measuring 850mm long x 450mm wide x 380mm tall, together with the original manufacturers box and packaging, product code 27043, extremely good condition £400-£500
