Charles I (1625-1649), Exeter mint, Halfcrown, 1645, mm. rose on obv., ex on rev., horse with twisted tail, no ground line, Declaration in two lines, three small plumes above, date between pellets below, 14.57g/9h (Bull 665/51 (D32n-4f), this coin; Besly N51, and BNJ 1992, pl. 21, this coin; SCBI Brooker 1060, this coin; N 2572; S 3079). Very fine with old cabinet tone, excessively rare; the only specimen listed by Bull and Besly £8,000-£10,000
