Sant Singh was born in Tah village, Sialkot district, in 1867. He enlisted into the 32nd Sikhs on 28 April 1885, and served with the regiment in every subsequent campaign in which it was involved. He was transferred to the Pension establishment by Medical Board in 1919, having received his second M.S.M. for services in India during the war.
