Sister Eleanore Maria Renard was appointed to the Australian Army Nursing Service, 1st Australian Imperial Force, on 10 August 1915. On her appointment she stated was born at Hawthorn, Victoria and was 40 years of age. She embarked from Melbourne for Europe and the Middle East on 24 August 1915, aboard the R.M.S. Morea. She served overseas in the Middle East, England and in France, serving with the 1st Australian Stationary Hospital, 2nd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, and 1st Australian General Hospital. Her appointment in the Australian Imperial Force terminated on 28 December 1917. With copied service details.

Louise Montgomery was born in Toronto, Ontario, on 9 April 1891. A Graduate Nurse, she enlisted into the Canadian Army Medical Corps on 3 May 1917. She left Canada for England in September 1918 and served in the 15th Canadian General Hospital. The British War Medal was her only medal. She was discharged as a Nursing Sister on 13 January 1920. Louisa Annie Drayton (note her initials on the medal are ‘L. A.’) attested for the South Africa Medical Corps on 21 December 1915. She was appointed to the S.A.M.N.S. Central Africa in June 1918 and was mentioned in despatches for distinguished service (London Gazette 2 August 1919). As a Charge Sister she was released from service with the the South African Military Nursing Service on 12 August 1919. With copied service papers.
