Kathleen Beatrice Austin was born on 12 December 1914. A House Wife and Seamstress, married to V. Austin of 69 Irvine Street, Port Elizabeth, and with a baby aged 13 months, she attested for service with the South African Women’s Auxiliary Air Force on 30 March 1942. With a bronze badge and copied service papers.

Anna Isabella Oosthuizen, nee Harmse, was born in Potchefstroom on 24 April 1921. A Machinist by occupation, and a widow living in Potchefstroom, with two children aged 3 years and 3 months, she attested for the South African Women’s Auxiliary Air Force on 29 November 1941. Whilst in service she re-married becoming Mrs Cronje. She was discharged ‘unfitted for duties within W.A.A.F.’, on 3 April 1943. She later became ‘Mrs A. I. van Dyk’. With copied service papers.

Elizabeth Johanna Magdelena Chapman was born in Kroonstadt on 26 October 1922. A Book-Keeper by occupation, she attested for service with the Women’s Auxiliary Army Service on 27 December 1941. As Mrs van der Merwe, she purchased her discharge on 1 May 1943. With copied service papers.
