The aircraft carrier H.M.S. Indomitable won Battle Honours for Malta Convoys 1942, Diego Suarez 1942, Sicily 1943 and later served in the Far East.

Arthur Joseph Bryant was mentioned in despatches for gallant deeds in the flotilla leader Faulknor in an action fought in the Aegean on 6 October 1943, by which time he was a Temporary Acting Petty Officer (London Gazette 4 April 1944).
