Walter Edward Murray died on active service while borne on the books of the Air Station H.M.S. Landrail at Strabane on 17 November 1943, but who was in fact on attachment to 810 Squadron in Illustrious. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Lee-on-Solent Memorial.
