1851. 50 Jarig bestaan Genootschap van Natuurkundige Wetenschappen te Groningen [50th Anniversary of the Natural History Society of Groningen], silver medal by v. d. Kellen, standing female figure in exotic garments in centre, palm tree behind, a globe to her right, a bird, cactus and pile of books to her left, reverse legend within wreath, 42mm (Dirks 717; BDM III, p.135). Extremely fine, with an attractive light tone (£40-60)
