The SAMF was founded in 1899 at the initiative of Roger Marx. It terminated its activities in 1910, having issued about 60 medals (some seem to have been missing in the Roger Marx Collection). See Baudey & Bricher (1992), No 66, 72, 75, 79 and 82.
