Henry Alexander Ince (1809-95), b. Calcutta; worked for Palmer, Mackillop, Dent & Co, London; emigrated to Shanghai, July 1854 and became a land-renter in the British settlement, returning to London in 1867. The following year he founded the ‘Barham School’ at Trecŵn, Pembrokeshire, in memory of his sister's interest in local education.
