Killed in action, 1st Battalion, 9.5.1915, Aubers Ridge. Sold with 9 pages from the War Diaries describing operations by the battalion and giving the following casualties of 14 Officers and 461 Other Ranks, killed, wounded or missing. On 10th May the Battalion’s fighting strenght was 8 Officers and 354 Other Ranks.
