Yalabi, of the Nyanja Tribe, from the village of Kawalika, in the district of Chiadzulu, enlisted into the King’s African Rifles on 18 January 1917. His records state he received 12 lashes for refusing to obey an order on 20 April 1918 and was wounded in action on 6 September 1918. He was discharged on the reduction of the establishment on 30 April 1919. With copied service papers and research.
