Peter Mitchell was born in Manchester, lived at Hulme and enlisted at Altringham. Serving with the 4th Battalion South Wales Borderers, he died whilst on service in Mesopotamia, 3 October 1918. He was buried in the Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery.
