M.I.D. London Gazette 5 June 1919 (East Africa). ‘T./Capt., 4/4th Bn. King’s African Rifles’.

C. M. Fielden served in ‘A’ Squadron East African Mounted Rifles from 20 August 1914, being promoted to Corporal on 14 December 1914. He was credited as entering the East African theatre of war on 15 January 1915. Fielden later received a local commission and was assigned to the King’s African Rifles on 5 March 1916. He later served with the 4/4th Battalion K.A.R., was promoted to Temporary Captain on 1 May 1917 and was mentioned in despatches. With some copied research.
