M.I.D. London Gazette 7 March 1918 (East Africa) ‘Regtl. Qrmr.-Serjt., Royal Fusiliers’.

Henry R. Adams enlisted into the newly formed 25th (Frontiersmen) Battalion Royal Fusiliers on 9 March 1915. With them he entered the East Africa theatre of war on 10 April 1915. For his services with the battalion in East Africa he was mentioned in despatches. Later transferred to the Labour Corps, he was discharged due to sickness on 6 February 1919 and was awarded the Silver War Badge. With copied m.i.c., gazette and roll extracts.
