Henry VI (First reign, 1422-1461), BRITISH COINS, Henry VI (First reign, 1422-1461), Rosette-Mascle issue, Noble, Calais, mm. lis on rev. only, ropes 2-1, flag at stern, lis by wrist and in second quarter of rev., reads dns and transiens, all stops rosettes, 6.96g/11h (cf. Whitton 16a; SCBI Schneider 315-6; N 1440; S 1818). Trace of crease and small (3 mm) internal crack, otherwise very fine or better and very rare £4,000-5,000

Whitton 16a has all rosette stops except for a mascle after per. The rosette in this position on this specimen is slightly mis-shapen and could be rosette over mascle, rather than the other way round
