41st (Welch) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c. 1830 - 1855, the rectangular seeded gilt back plate with burnished edge overlaid with a silver beaded star and further gilt and silver mounts (Parkyn 337), upon the star a crowned Garter enclosing the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto on a ground of blue enamel set within laurel sprays these bearing five battle honours, at the base ‘XLI’, complete with both hook and stud fasteners and original leather liner, some buckling to the upper corners and slight perishing to the leather liner otherwise very good condition £600-800
