Robert Farrant, who was born in Wellington, Somerset, enlisted in the Imperial Yeomanry in January 1900, aged 20 years. Drafted to the 4th (Glamorgan) Company, 9th (Welsh) Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry, he served in South Africa in the period February 1900 to July 1901 and was discharged on his return home; sold with copied service record and medal roll verification.
