Roman Imperial Coinage, Theodosius II, Solidus, Constantinople, 441-50, helmeted and cuirassed bust three-quarters right, holding spear and shield, rev. Constantinopolis enthroned left, holding globus cruciger and sceptre, left foot on prow, shield at side, 4.49g (RIC 259; Sear 21140). Some rubbing to obverse, otherwise about extremely fine, reverse better £300-400
