High Holborn, John Skidmore, Proof Halfpenny, 1795, in silver, register stove, rev. two men at a forge, edge grained, 11.49g/6h (DH 480). Virtually as struck with steel-blue toning, of the highest rarity; perhaps only one other specimen available to commerce (£400-500)
This lot was sold as part of a special collection, A Collection of London 18th Century Tokens, the Property of a Gentleman.
