A COLLECTION OF 1851 GREAT EXHIBITION MEDALS, Exhibitor’s Medals, 1851 (7), in bronze, by W. Wyon, similar, edge inscribed (United Kingdom, Class 17, No.158; Class 19, No.197 and Class 30, No.119; Class 19, No.281; Class 19, No.379; Class 20, No.9; Class 20, No.84; Class 30, No.10), all 44mm (BHM 2463; E 1462) [7]. Generally very fine, one or two better; fourth in half of original maroon case of issue (£40-60)

Papworth, Gt Marlborough Street; 5th awarded to Price & Harvey, Pilgrim Street, Ludgate Hill, bonnet manufacturers; 6th awarded to James Holmes & Co, Regent Street, manufacturers of cloaks and shawls; 7th awarded to the Government School of Design, Somerset House, for designs for carpets and drapery.
