Charles I (1625-1649), Third Coinage, Falconer’s first issue, Twelve Shillings, no m.m., signed F over crown, 5.46 gms (M. p.138); Forty Pence, type 1, reads SCOT AN, pellet after HIB, F at end of reverse legend and two pellets over crown, 1.58 gms (M. obv. f var., rev. c); Twenty Pence (2), both type 2, reading MAG BR, F and pellet over crown, 0.72 gms, and MAG FR FR/IVST, no F on rev., 0.78 gms (M. obv. i, rev. m; obv. n, rev. s) (S. 5560, 5578, 5588, ––). First and third about fine, others about very fine but with adjustment marks on obverses, last a very rare variant (4)
