Private Henry Campbell was killed in action at Balaklava on 25 October 1854, one of only two fatalities suffered by the Greys in this historic action, the other being Corporal A. Paul Clifford. Indeed, the entire Heavy Brigade had only nine men killed in action at Balaklava. He is also entitled to the clasp for Sebastopol which would have been issued separately as a loose clasp.d
