A Great War M.C. awarded to Lieutenant L. T. Locan, 8th Battalion, Manchester Regiment, attached 2/9th Battalion, Liverpool Regiment

Military Cross, G.V.R., reverse neatly inscribed ‘L. T. Locan, Jan. 19th 1918’; together with two named original M.I.D. cerificates (7 November 1917 & 16 March 1919); and an erased British War and Victory Medal pair, nearly extremely fine (3) £200-250

M.C. London Gazette 24 August 1918 ‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. Before a raid he carried out several daylight reconnaissances in “No Man’s Land” and obtained most valuable information. He guided the raiding party to their assembly position, and by his initiative and skill contributed greatly to the success of the raid.’
