Royal Marines, an extremely fine and rare officer’s rectangular copper gilt shoulder belt plate c1826-1830, the back plate matted gilt with burnished gilt overlays, being the Royal Crest within a wreath of oak, the base of the wreath overlaid with a Union spray, rose, thistle and shamrock (Parkyn p 241), excellent condition £500-700
