Ex Jane Kenworthy collection which was largely destroyed by fire.

One officer and 22 other ranks of the 3rd Battalion, Rifle Brigade, were present at Abu Klea in the Mounted Infantry Camel Regiment, O’Neil being the senior N.C.O.

Edward O’Neil was born in Carlow, Ireland, in February 1859, and enlisted for the Rifle Brigade in London in May 1879, and was discharged to 1st Class Army Reserve in October 1891. Sold with confirmation and twelve pages of copied service papers.
