Geoffrey Walter Jackson, born in Kurrawang WA, was posted to Malaya in the mid-1950’s. During his tour he spent 6 months on attachment to 22 SAS Regiment, one of the first Australians to serve with the British SAS in Malaya. He completed a basic SAS para course at Changi and, on his return to Australia he joined the Australian 1stSAS Company in December 1957, in the first intake of troops to this new unit of the Australian Army. The lot is sold with copies of his army records and a Para Course group photograph.
