580418 Sergeant Frederick Joseph Abrahams formed part of the crew of a Whitley V bomber, No. P5082, which took part in an attack on the German city of Bremen on 28 October 1940. The aircraft signalled that it had attacked the target but on its return the plane crashed into the sea off the coast of Aberdeen. The subsequent sea search was abandoned and all the crew were presumed dead.
