Captain Guy Wormald was educated at Eton and Cambridge and was a Barrister before the Great War. In August 1914 he joined the Inns of Court Volunteers, in September was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in the Lancashire Fusiliers, and was Captain by November. He went to France in September 1915 with the 12th Battalion, and to Salonica in November 1915. He was killed in action at Lake Doiran, Balkans, during the attack on Mitrailleuses, and is commemorated by name on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.
