John James Brierley enlisted at Rochdale, 5th Battalion, and was killed in action in the Trenches, Ronssoy, on 3 May 1917.

John William Moult was born in Radcliffe and enlisted at Bury, 1/5th Battalion. He was killed in action during the attack to capture Borry Farm, Beck House and Iberian farm, north-east of Frazenberg, on 6 September 1917. The Battalion’s losses amounted to 7 officers and nearly 500 men.

203790 Private Walter Schofield, 1/5 Lancashire Fusiliers, killed in action, France & Flanders, 25 March 1918, aged 21 years. Commemorated by name on the Arras Memorial.
