Private George Leach was born in Bury, Lancashire and enlisted for the Great War at Burnley, Lancs. He was serving as a Lance Corporal in the 15th Bn. (1st Salford) Lancashire Fusiliers when he died of wounds, France & Flanders, on 2 February 1918.
