M.B.E. Gazette of India 5 August 1922: ‘For services in connection with the operations in North and North East Persia from 1917 to 1921 - Allan Ashly Reed Hopcroft, Esquire, Personal Assistant to His Majesty’s Consul for Sistan and Kain.’

The decoration was presented to him by the Consul General and Agent of the Government in Khorasan at Meshed on 9 October 1922.
