Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 7 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Laing’s Nek, Belfast, Natal, Relief of Ladysmith, South Africa 1901 (1699 Serjt. J. Richmond, S.A. Lt. Horse) clasps mounted in that order, ‘Natal’ clasp a tailor’s copy; British War and Bilingual Victory Medals (Gnr. W. J. Richmond, 8th Cit. Batt.); together with an erased 1914-15 Star, good very fine and better (4) £160-200

All clasps except ‘Natal’ confirmed. Also served in the Colonial Scouts. With copied roll extract. In the Great War he attested on 19 August 1914 and was discharged on 11 June 1915 on the demobilisation of the 8th Citizen’s Battery.
